Chief Bradley Ober has been with Tilton-Northfield Fire & EMS since 2005. Chief Ober was promoted from Fire Prevention Captain to Chief in December of 2010. Chief Ober holds an AS degree in Fire Science and Fire Protection. Chief Ober is certified as an EMT-Intermediate, Fire & Emergency Instructor I and Fire Officer I & II and Fire Inspector II. Previously Chief Ober served as the on-call Chief of the Ashland Fire Department. Previously Chief Ober served as a Lieutenant for Lakes Region Mutual Fire Aid.
Captain Timothy Joubert has been a member of Tilton-Northfield Fire & EMS since 2007. He was promoted to Fire Prevention Captain in 2011. He is responsible for the departments Firefighting Equipment and Protective Clothing. Captain Joubert is a certified EMT-Intermediate, Firefighter III, Swift Water Technician and an Ice Rescue Technician. He also serves on the Three Rivers W.E.T. Team and as a Lieutenant on Ashland Fire Rescue. Prior to his employment with Tilton-Northfield Fire & EMS Firefighter Joubert served as a teacher at Ashland Elementary School for eight years and a Career Firefighter for Plymouth Fire Rescue.
Administrative Assistant Kathy Tobine has been employed with Tilton-Northfield Fire & EMS since 2008. She holds an AS in Business Science, as well as being a certified EMT-Intermediate and Incident Safety Officer. Administrative Assistant Tobine also serves as the Accountability Officer for Campton-Thornton Fire Department, where she received EMT of the year in 2005. Prior to being employed with Tilton-Northfield Fire & EMS she was a CSR for Cross Insurance.
Lieutenant Sean Valovanie has been with Tilton-Northfield Fire & EMS since 2006 and was promoted to Lieutenant in 2011. He is currently assigned to cover the 'Kelly' day spot. He holds an AS in Fire Science, an AS in Nursing and is certified as a Registered Nurse. He is also certified as a Firefighter III, EMT-Intermediate, Rescue Systems I, Trench Rescue, Child Passenger Safety Technician and Fire & Emergency Services Instructor I. In 2008 Lieutenant Valovanie was the recipient of the Fire-Mark Award. Prior to being employed with Tilton-Northfield Fire & EMS Firefighter Valovanie served as a call-member on Gilford Fire Rescue and in the United States Navy, aboard the USS Theodore Roosevelt.
Firefighter Jonathan Powell has been with Tilton-Northfield Fire & EMS since 1997 starting as an explorer and was hired full-time in 2004. Firefighter Powell is currently assigned to cover a Firefighter's 'Kelly' day spot in addition to working in Fire Prevention. Firefighter Powell is responsible for pre-plans for the Tilton-Northfield area. He is responsible for the ordering and maintenance of the departments rescue equipment. Firefighter Powell is certified as an EMT-Intermediate, Firefighter III, Swift Water Rescue Technician, Rope Rescue Technician, Certified Tower Climber, Fire & Emergency Services Instructor I and advanced R.I.T. Training. He is also a member of the Sanbornton Fire Department, Three River's W.E.T. Team and works in training support at the New Hampshire Fire Standards and Training Academy.
Captain Timothy Ames has been with Tilton-Northfield Fire & EMS since 2000 starting as a call-member and was hired full-time in 2002. He was promoted to Captain in 2011. Captain Ames is currently assigned as Shift Officer to shift 1. Captain Ames is currently pursuing his AS degree in Fire Science, and also is certificated as an EMT-Intermediate, Fire & Emergency Services Instructor I, Haz-Mat Technician and Child Passenger Safety Technician. Captain Ames also serves as a member of the Central New Hampshire Haz-Mat team, and as the training officer for Three River's W.E.T. Team.
Firefighter Ian Mercaldi has been with Tilton-Northfield Fire & EMS since 2006 starting as a call member and was hired full-time in 2008. He is currently assigned to shift 1. Firefighter Mercaldi is responsible for the departments SCBA maintenance and Dry Hydrants. He is also a certified EMT-Intermediate, Certified Career Firefighter, Ice Rescue Technician, Advanced Open Water SCUBA Diver and a Scott Field Technician.
Firefighter Daniel Leathers has been with Tilton-Northfield Fire & EMS since 2011 and is currently assigned to shift 1. Firefighter Leathers holds a AS in Fire Science. He is also a certified EMT-Intermediate and Firefighter II. He also serves as a call member on the Meredith Fire Department.
Captain Greg Michaud has been with Tilton-Northfield Fire & EMS since 2005 and is currently assigned as Shift Officer on shift 2. He is responsible for all of the department's emergency communications. Captain Michaud holds an AS in Fire Science, Fire Investigation and Paramedic Emergency Medicine. Captain Michaud is certified as an EMT-Paramedic, Certified Career Firefighter, Rope Rescue Operations, Fire Officer I & II, Fire & Emergency Services Instructor I and Swiftwater Rescue Technician. He is also a member of the Three Rivers W.E.T. Team.
Firefighter Matthew Gilman has been with Tilton-Northfield Fire & EMS since 2009 and is currently assigned to shift 2. He is responsible for the department's Clothing and Uniforms. Firefighter Gilman holds an AS in Fire Science and is attending NHTI to obtain an AS in Emergency Paramedic Medicine. He is also a certified EMT-Intermediate, Certified Career Firefighter and an Ice Rescue Technician. Firefighter Gilman is also a member of the Highland Mountain Bike Patrol in addition to teaching EMT classes at Lake Region Community College.
Firefighter Derik Ogg has been with Tilton-Northfield Fire & EMS since 2010 starting as a call member and was hired full-time in 2011. He is currently assigned to shift 2. He holds an AS in Fire Science and AS in Outdoor Recreation. He is also a certified EMT-Intermediate and Firefighter II.
Captain David Hall has been with Tilton-Northfield Fire & EMS since 2003 and is the shift officer on shift 3. He is responsible for the department's data collection. Captain Hall holds a BS in Applied Leadership Technology and a AS in Fire Science Technology. He is also a certified EMT-Intermediate, Firefighter III, Rope Rescue Technician, Swift Water Technician, Swift Water Boat Operations, Fire Officer I & II, Basic Public Information Officer, NFA Command & Control of Incident Operations and others. He is also a member of the Three Rivers W.E.T. Team.
Firefighter Stephen Smith has been with Tilton-Northfield Fire & EMS since 2003 and is currently assigned to shift 3. He is responsible for the department's vehicle, pump and small engine maintenance. Firefighter Smith holds a AS in Animal Husbandry and BS in Studio Arts. He is also a certified EMT-Intermediate, Firefighter III, Swiftwater Rescue Technician, Wildland Firefighter and Trench Rescue. Firefighter Smith is also a member of the Three River's W.E.T. Team. Prior to being employed with Tilton-Northfield Fire & EMS Firefighter Smith served with Moultonborough Fire Department.
Firefighter Derek Farrell has been with Tilton-Northfield Fire & EMS since 2011 and is currently assigned to shift 3. Firefighter Farrell holds a AS in Fire Science and an AS in Criminal Justice. He is also a certified EMT-Intermediate, Firefighter II and is trained at the Swift Water Rescue Awareness level. He also serves as a call member on the Bristol Fire Department.
